UPPER SANDUSKY --- The Wynford Lady Royals locked up 4th place in the Northern 10 knocking off the Upper Sandusky Lady Rams on the road 58-47.

The name of the game early on was defense as it was a very low scoring game through one with the Lady Royals (11-6, 9-6 N10) ahead 6-4. Wynford was then able to break the game wide open with a couple of huge threes and dominant play in the painted area to complete a 15-2 run to head to the break up 23-12.

​

The Lady Rams (7-13, 6-10 N10) refused to go away, however, trying desperately to claw their way back into the game and for a few minutes it looked like they were going to as they hit their stride late into the third heading into the fourth knocking down shots and playing brilliant defense but ultimately would fall short as Wynford went shot-for-shot in the final 16 minutes.

 

Averi McMillan had some terrific plays from the low block, chipping in 16 points to help Wynford secure a big Northern 10 win late in the season.
