The Avon Eagles moved on in the Division 2, Region 6 playoffs knocking off the Wooster Generals 33-
13.

The top-seeded Eagles struck first midway through the opening quarter as QB Danny Zeh found Joey
Lance from 13-yards out and then found Andrew Smith on their next drive from 4-yards out making it 14-
0 after one.

The eighth-seeded Generals then got on the board midway through the second quarter on a 1-yard
Taylor Brayden run cutting the lead to 14-7, but the Eagles would answer before the break with a Niko
Pappas 5-yard run making it 20-7 at the half.

Pappas then opened the second half scoring late in the third with a 4-yard run to push the Avon lead to
26-7, but the Generals would answer again early in the fourth on Brayden's second 1-yard scoring run
making it 26-13.

The Eagles then finished the scoring midway through the fourth as Devon Hunter scampered in from 5
yards out for a 33-13 lead.

The Eagles move on to the Regional Semifinal where they will take on fourth-seeded Benedictine on
Friday at 7:00 PM at a site to be determined by the OHSAA.
