Wooster Splinters Arrows For Perfect OCC Title

It's a perfect OCC regular season for the Wooster Generals who capped-off a 12-0 conference run with a 67-61 win at Ashland who didn't have Luke Denbow for the contest.

Wooster (16-1) got off to a great offensive start with 21 first quarter points on nine field goals. The Arrows (7-12) made consistent trips to the foul line, converting 21 of 25 attempts from the charity stripe for the contest while the Generals had just one free throw attempt through the first three quarters of action, but found themselves trailing 21-17 heading into the second and 37-28 at the half.

A balanced scoring attack helped Wooster extend their advantage to double-figures at 54-44 after the third as four Generals contributed nine or more points. Ashland then made a push in the fourth to get within two possessions, but it wasn't enough to complete a comeback over the outright league champs.

Eli White was the Arrows top-scorer with 17 pts, followed by Grayson Steury with 16, Mitchell Heilman dropped 14 and Bryson Lewis added seven.

Ezra McKee carried the offensive scoring load with 22 Generals pts, while teammates Brayden Hamilton put up a dozen and Reece Mitchell added 11.
