The Mansfield Senior Tygers took care of business defeating cross-town rival Madison 49-7 to lock up a home playoff game in week 11.
The Tygers got on the board first midway through the opening quarter when Terrance Flickinger ran in from a yard out for a 7-0 lead. They then extended their lead two possessions later when Cam Todd took a keeper in from seven yards away making it 14-0.
After another Flickinger touchdown run, Angelo Grose showed of his athletic abilities making a 30-yard touchdown reception over top of the defender to extend the Tyger lead to 28-0 at the break.
Flickenger's day was done after the first half as he carried the ball 16 times for 151 yards and two scores. Titus Arrington, his replacement, kept the strong run game going leading the opening drive of the second half ending in a four-yard touchdown rush making it 35-0.
Aveon Grose then got in on the scoring and matched Angelo by reaching over his defender to make a 39-yard touchdown reception extending the score to 42-0. Brandon Atwell then got the Rams on the board against the Tygers second team offense with a 27-yard pick six to make it 42-7.
The Tygers then finished the scoring as Angelo Grose blocked a Ram punt and Ty'Lheir Grose picked it up and ran 32-yards for the score. With the victory, Mansfield Senior clinches a home playoff game in week 11.
