The Wynford Royals clinched a share of the Northern 10 title and knocked a rival out of the playoff race defeating cross-city foe Bucyrus 40-7.

The Royals struck paydirt midway through the opening quarter when Cody Taylor ran 48 yards to paydirt for a 6-0 lead after one.

They then extended the lead to 14-0 on a Dustin Brady four-yard rush to open up the second and exploded for three scores in the half's final 5:52 as Brady found Seth Benedict for 50-yards, Nate Imbody for 67-yards and a David Bils two-yard run for a 33-0 lead at the half.

Imbody finished the Royals scoring with a 13-yard touchdown run and Bucyrus avoided the shutout with a Hastin Zier eight-yard run in the final quarter.

Despite being eliminated from playoff contention, the Royals clinched a share of the Northern 10 championship and finish the season 7-3. The Redmen end up 5-5 for the year and still have not beat Wynford since 1997.
