SHELBY -- Willard took down defending district champion Margaretta 64-56 for the D3 Shelby crown, punching their ticket back to Regionals for the second straight year.

 

Teams were battling for every loose ball and every extra possession as heated play left us with a half time score of 32-28 in favor of the Flashes.The second half is where things really started heating up for Willard as they put the clamps on Margaretta by creating turnovers and getting out on the break, building a double-figure advantage. Tristan Buurma would ultimately lead Willard to a huge tournament win, earning Player of the Game honors as she helps setup the Lady Flashes with a Regional matchup vs defending champs Napoleon.
