MANSFIELD -- In the OCC "bronze medal" game, West Holmes would outduel Mansfield Senior in a thrilling double-overtime battle to claim a 69-62 victory along with third place in the final conference standings.

The Knights (14-6, 6-5) put themselves out in front with a 15-11 first quarter spurt, but the game would be tightly contested for the rest of the night. The lead would be traded a total of 17 times but West Holmes remained in the lead at 21-16 at the half and 38-30 entering the final frame.

​

In the fourth quarter is where the Tygers (8-10, 5-6) would find their stride, using an 18-10 run to force overtime with the game tied at 48 apiece. Nathaniel Haney would drill three clutch free throws with 0.1 seconds remaining in OT to force an extra session, but West Holmes took control early in double overtime and never looked back on their way to a regular season-ending road win.
