Warriors Destroy Galion 61-27

Ontario remained hot with their third straight win, annihilating Galion 61-27 at the O-Rena in MOAC play in their return to the court following Christmas.

It’s the sixth straight loss for the tumbling Tigers who fell behind 19-5 after the first quarter of play. Griffin Shaver then dropped 11 of his game-high 21 points in the second as the Warriors extended their advantage to 37-15 by the half.

Ontario would go on to keep conference leading scorer Isaiah Alsip scoreless in the second half, holding him to eight points in the game as they outscored Galion 20-7 in the third then coasted to a blowout victory in the fourth.

Amil Upchurch and Kolton Kurtz each added nine Warriors points with Shaquan Coburn contributing with eight. Matthew McMullen led the Tigers with 10.

Ontario improves to 4-2 and will next face Kenton at home while Galion dips to 1-6 and will host Northmor.
