The #3 Minutemen (20-5) are headed to the district finals for a third consecutive season, defeating #1 Vermilion (20-4) 46-43 in the Division II Madison District Semifinals.

 

A strong first half put Lex on top 30-19 but they would blow their cushion in the third quarter where the Sailors outscored them 15-4. In the closing minutes with the game on the line, though, Minutemen junior forward Cade Stover made a handful of valuable plays to help punch their ticket to the championship round where Lex will face Sandusky for a third year in a row.

 

Stover finished the night with 13 points and 19 rebounds while Ben Vore dropped a game-high 16 pts and Bryant Givand added 14 to pace Lex. Joby Pfeil led Vermilion with 14 pts receiving
