Crawford Bags Upper, Huge N10 Win 59-42 

NORTH ROBINSON -- Colonel Crawford's quest for an undefeated regular season continued in a critical Northern 10 matchup against defending league champion Upper Sandusky where the Eagles soared to 14-0 with a convincing 59-42 victory.  

Carter Valentine was a major factor at the offensive end for C.C., dropping three triples in the opening quarter to aid a 13-12 cushion, adding seven more points in the second to extend Crawford's lead to 30-26. Valentine finished with a game-best 22 points as the Eagles got 12 of Nolan McKibben's 15 in the second half to help close out the win.

The Rams (10-5) would get outscored 18-14 in the third despite Trent Beamer filling it up for eight of his team-high 17 in the frame before a cold spell came over Upper throughout the final eight minutes. Crawford locked down defensively in the fourth, holding the Rams to just two points in the frame and they put an exclamation point on a key N10 conference win.

Cade Adams added nine Upper points while Jackson Smalley posted eight. Eagles got nine from Mason Studer and six by Chase Walker to compliment Valentine's big night.
