Upper Races By Mohawk To
19th Straight Win

The hottest team in North Central Ohio continued to run over their opponents as Upper Sandusky raced by Mohawk for their 19th consecutive win, 88-54 on the road.

Rams senior guard Evan Young was lights out in the opening quarter, scoring 16 points in the opening frame to help build a 24-16 advantage. Upper Sandusky (19-1) then outscored the Warriors 19-11 in the second, increasing their lead to 43-27 by the half.

A monster 30-point explosion in the third, fueled by Mason Vent dropping 13 of his game-high 24 points in the stanza, would all but put the contest out of reach with the Rams owning a 73-38 edge heading into the fourth. Mohawk (13-8) would see their 4-game win streak snapped as Upper cruised to yet another lopsided victory, remaining undefeated in Northern 10 Conference play at 14-0.

The Rams saw seven players score eight or more points with Young putting up 18, Brett Montgomery and Gavin Carey each scored 10, while Cam McCreary and Jaidyn Thiel added nine apiece and Trent Beamer scored eight.

The Warriors were led in scoring by Brock Brause with 19 pts, AJ Hess put up 13 and Austin Tusing chipped-in with nine.
