For the first time in program history, the Mansfield Senior football team will play for a State Championship this postseason, so their fellow classmates, staff, parents and members of the community made sure to send the team off to Canton the right way.

 

The Tygers marching band led the squad through the halls of the high school and middle school where students lined the way in support, then finished at the front entrance where they were greeted by family members, friends and fans. A police escort would then usher the team out of the city as they travel to the Division III State Championship game at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium to face state power Trotwood-Madison on Friday at 3 pm.
