Tygers Football Sending 3 Players

To Division 1 College Programs

It's been a season of firsts for the Mansfield Senior football team.

The Tygers won a program-record 13 games en route to the school's first Regional Championship and State Final appearance and now have three members of the same graduating class heading to play college football at the Division 1 level.

At a special event held in the Mansfield Senior auditorium, senior standouts Anthony Hawkins, Angelo Grose and Clay Caudill each signed their letters of intent for the respective schools of their choosing. All three players have completed their high school curriculum and will be early enrolling as freshman in college beginning in January.

Hawkins will attend Bowling Green State University where he has been recruited as a defensive tackle. Grose is headed to Michigan State where he will play defensive back and Caudill will play for the University of Toledo as a tight end.

Tygers head coach Chioke Bradley expressed the positive impact each player has had on the program, within the school and the community. The 2019 Mansfield Senior football team will certainly leave a legacy unmatched by any the school has experienced in over 100 years of existence.
