Mansfield Senior advanced to Week 12 with a dominating 28-0 shutout of Bay in their playoff opener at Arlin Field, led by senior running back Terrance Flickinger and a stout defensive effort.

 

The second-seeded Tygers took control of the game by forcing Rockets punts on their first two offensive possessions followed up by a pair of scoring drives, capped by Flickinger touchdown runs. Senior High then took a 21-0 advantage with 8:18 to play in the 2nd Quarter on Flickinger's third TD run of the night, finishing with 149 yards on 22 carries.

 

The Tygers allowed just 176 yards of offense to #7 Bay (7-4), forcing a pair of interceptions as they 21-0 at the break, then played ball control in the second half to milk down the clock. Angelo Grose added the icing on the win with a 1-yard TD grab on 4th down with 3:47 to play as Mansfield Senior protects their home turf, finishing 7-0 at Arlin Field this season.

 

The 10-1 Tygers now advance to face #6 Parma Holy Name (9-2), who beat #3 Columbian on the road 14-7 in Week 11. Senior High has never been beyond the second round of the postseason.
