Arlington Red Devils met up with Plymouth Big Red for a D4 District semifinal showdown, Devils would win 4-2.

 

Defense was the story really for both sides but especially for Arlington. Ace Zavier Thornton only allowed 4 hits with 10 strikeouts and pitched a full 7 innings. 

 

Red Devils would do enough at the dish to strike across some runs. Arlington got two runs off an RBI double from Austin Rausch who would also later score in the game. Arlington would score off an error making it 3-0. Plymouth wouldn’t go out quietly as they got on the board as they got one from an RBI and a fielder's choice.

 

However it wouldn’t be enough as Austin Rausch would later score on an error on the Big Red to make it 4-2. Thornton would do the rest as Plymouth left multiple runners stranded due to timely clutch situations from the pitcher Thornton. Arlington moved onto play Friday @5.
