Edison's Lesniak Wins Individual Title,
Lady Warriors Dominate As A Team

August 24, 2019
Ontario cross-country coach Megan Willeke posted a message for her team at Saturday's Tiger Classic hosted by Seneca East, "If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go TOGETHER."
Willeke's girls would choose the latter, dominating the field with her top-5 runners finishing one after another in 2nd-6th place. With an incredible team score of 20 points, the Lady Warriors would take home a team title in a landslide.
Edison's junior Abby Lesniak earned an individual championship with a winning time of 19:03.57, followed by five straight Ontario runners in senior Grace Maurer (19:11.74), freshman Brienne Trumpower (19:37.40), sophomore Ellie Maurer (19:53.48), junior Ariah Reuer (20:02.57), and senior Carolina Trumpower (20:03.51).
