Ontario Kicks Off Summer Football
Warriors Get On The Practice Field
June 15, 2020
Ontario football kicked off their summer workout program this past Monday with the Warriors beginning phase one of their return to competition under the new health mandates. Following a rocky finish to last season, Ontario looks to bounce back this year and push for a spot atop the conference after finishing 3-7 in 2019.
Chris Miller will enter his third season as head coach and told OH.Report, “ When I first came here we had about thirty-five football players, we added 15 last year, and now we're staring at around sixty football players at the high school level.”
Strength in numbers could prove to be the difference for the Warriors as they begin to grind through offseason training with Covid-19 being a challenge for all. The pandemic wouldn’t stop the Warriors from getting in their workouts, however, with waves of athletes showing up for strength and conditioning, drills and exercises throughout the day.
As the season is quickly approaching the excitement approaches even quicker. Coaches, players and all involved seem stoked to just be out throwing the football again. Even if it was just basic fundamentals.
