DAYTON - - - State #2 Napoleon will play for its first state championship after holding off state #11 Carroll 46-43 in a Division 2 State Semifinal at the UD Arena on the campus of the University of Dayton.

The Lady Cats held a slim lead throughout leading 13-11 after one and 27-22 at the break thanks to 11 first half points from Emma Pedroza, but the Patriots continued to stick around and took the lead to start the fourth quarter 36-33, but Napoleon went on an 11-0 run to take a 44-36 lead with 2:16 left.

Carroll tried coming back cutting its deficit to three with seven seconds left and had a shot at the tie before the buzzer, but it was off line allowing the Lady Cats to survive and advance to the State Final where they will face #4 Vinton County.
