MANSFIELD -- Pressure defense helped carry Mansfield Senior to  their second consecutive win, knocking off Mount Vernon 51-38.

The Tygers (4-4) forced the Jackets (4-8) into 17 turnovers, aiding a big run in the first half where Senior High built their biggest lead at 27-11. From that point, Mt. Vernon played the Tygers pretty even, but could never make a strong push to put pressure on the home team.

Shad Creamer finished the night with a game-high 17 points to earn Player of the Game honors, while Blake Meyer had 13 to pace the Jackets offense.
