The Fredericktown Freddies dominated the Mt. Gilead Indians in the District Semifinals, 10-4, in front of their home fans.

 

Things started off hot for the #2 Freddies putting up a 2 RBI double and an RBI single in the bottom of the first inning.

 

That would be the theme for the night as there were 5 different Freddies that would reach base and 3 of those players would have multiple RBI.

 

One of those players would be Caleb Sheriff who was named MVP for his 2-4 day at the plate that included an absolute BLAST to left field that drove in 3 runs to put Fredericktown firmly in the lead at 10-3.

 

#8 Mt. Gilead would struggle from the plate with only 6 total hits in 28 at-bats and wouldn't get in the scoring column until the 6th inning on a two-RBI poke to the gap.

 

The Freddies were already in the driver's seat, however, and eventually would cruise into the District Finals where they will face Amanda Clearcreek.
