Crestline Advances To Sectional Championship
Crestline hosted cross town rival Buckeye Central in the D-IV sectional semifinal, winner would move on to face Plymouth, Crestline would pull away and advance 6-3.
Crestline jumped out early 1-0 in the bottom of the first off an RBI. Buckeye Central would have to play catch-up as the Lady Bulldogs defense was stingy all night long. The Bucks would get on the board off of an RBI that would tie things up at 1 a piece.
Crestline would explode in the bottom of the third getting 3 runs to make it a 4-1 ballgame after 3. Two came off of Errors and another from an RBI. The Bulldogs would get a huge 2 run RBI in the bottom of the 6th to put the icing on the cake for Crestline. However, The Bucks wouldn’t go down without a fight as they would grab two runs in the top of the 7th. One from a pass ball and another from a Buckeye Central RBI.
It wouldn’t be enough as Crestline would win 6-3 and advance to take on the Plymouth Big Red. The Bulldogs will face Plymouth Thursday for a shot at a sectional championship.
