A big Northern Ten Conference matchup between the Mohawk Warriors and the Upper Sandusky Rams.  The Lady Warriors were coming into this game 0-4 in the conference, while the Lady Rams were 1-3 in the conference.  Upper lost their last game to Buckeye Central 56-23, so they needed a win to put them back on the right track.  The Rams biggest struggle is at the 3-point line, only shooting at 20%.  Mohawk needed to score the ball and limit turnovers to steal one on the road. 

 

It was a low scoring first quarter full of turnovers from both sides of the court.  The score got the first quarter was 9-2 with the Lady Rams with the lead.  It was a stalemate in the 2nd quarter.  Mohawk wasn’t able to catch up while Upper  Sandusky couldn’t run away with the lead, going into halftime with the score 19-8.  The lady  warriors made a strong statement in the 3rd with back-to-back 3s, but it wasn't enough to take the lead, with the score being 32-22 at the end of the 3rd.  The 4th quarter was the worst quarter for the Lady Warriors, only scoring 1 point.  The Lady Rams on the other hand, played strong defense at the end to finish off the game 44-23.  

 

Our Player of the Game was the Lady Rams #23 Kaidance Iles.  She finished the game with 19 points. As well as leading the charge for the Rams in the rebounding category. Upper now goes into the conference 2-3, while Mohawk falls to 0-5 in the conference.
