The Mohawk Lady Warriors met up with Lucas at the D4 Shelby district tournament spot to move on, Mohawk would advance 13-2 through 5 innings. 

 

Mohawk got out quickly in the bottom of the 2nd as they would notch a fast 4 runs to give the defense some cushion. 3 runs came off of RBI’s and one was an error on the Cubs that would send home a runner for Mohawk. 

 

Lady Warriors defense was stout all night as they only allowed 4 hits throughout 5 innings.  Bailey Sheets was very consistent on the mound as she only had 2 earned runs with 7 strikeouts. Mohawks bats were on fire as they had 13 hits for 13 scores talk about efficiency! 

 

Lucas would try to claw back into it as Alexa Fulk drove in a run, but Paityn Clouse and Aubrie Harper would be too much as they both grabbed home runs in tonight’s contest. Clouse’s dinger would seal the fate of the game as it was the walk off winner through 5 innings as the Lady Warriors prevailed 13-2. Mohawk moves on to play Plymouth Friday with a district title on the line.
