Lady Flames Ride Schmitz Over Plymouth

Mansfield Christian rode the hot hand of Elle Schmitz to a 52-33 victory over Plymouth on their home floor to close out the Wayne Roller Showcase Holiday Tournament.

Schmitz netted eight points in both the first and third quarters on her way to a game-best 22, helping the Lady Flames build a 22-13 halftime cushion which grew to 42-25 entering the fourth. Erin Stevens knocked down 13-14 free throws to lead the Big Red with 17 points, but with nobody else contributing more than four, MC cruised to their sixth win of the season.

Alexis Rippel joined Schmitz in double-figures with 10 pts, while Anna Sparks and Kyleah Jones each put up six to pace the 6-2 Lady Flames.
