THE FUTURE OF LOCAL SPORTS

The Lexington Minutemen and Madison Rams face off on Thursday evening in a Division 2 District Final to be played at Malabar Intermediate School at 6 pm.

The top-seeded Minutemen (18-1-0) are riding a 17-game win streak which includes 11-0 victories over Mansfield Senior and Columbian in the sectional tournament plus an 8-0 victory over Edison in the District semifinal.

The second-seeded Rams (14-3-2) are 4-3-2 since starting the season on a 10-game win streak. Madison beat Clyde 10-0 and Galion 8-1 to win their sectional then knocked off Ontario 2-1 for a spot in the District championship.

Lexington won at Madison  3-1 on September 24th during their only regular season meeting. 

​

The winner will move to the Division 2 Regional Semifinal and will take on the winner of Bay and Buckeye on Wednesday the 30th at 7:00 PM at a site to be determined.
