Coach Stupka Brings New Madison Football Philosophy
Coming off a winless season is never an easy task in any sport. Especially when you’re a first-year head coach at a new program.
That’s precisely the task at hand for Madison’s Dave Stupka, though, as the Rams new skipper takes over a squad that finished 0-10 in 2017 and was outscored a combined 485-128.
Stupka says his coaching philosophy is, in essence, an extension of the classroom and plans to teach his kids the fundamental principles of how to compete. He says his team has grown throughout the offseason in their spirit of competition and wants to focus on their progression as the regular season approaches.
Madison kicks off the season on August 23 at Shelby, a matchup they dropped 48-10 last year at home.
