Madison posted their second straight shutout victory to open the season with a 3-0 win at Ashland in OCC play.
Following a long rain delay, both teams would feel each other out before Lady Rams freshman Nevaeh Lewis scored her fourth goal of the season at the 20:13 mark with a perfectly placed shot from the right side of the net. Marisah Atterholt would then make it 2-0 with 4:08 to go before the half off a corner kick score to give Madison momentum heading into the break.
The Lady Arrows (1-1) would generate a number of scoring chances that ended with near misses off the cross-bar and posts, but never could beat keeper Morgan Rachel to cut into the deficit. The final goal of the match came from senior Chesney Davis with 24:45 remaining in the match, helping the Lady Rams secure a win in their conference opener.
Next up: Madison (2-0) travels to Findlay while Ashland hosts Clay.
