The latest installment of the area's best musical competition took well over a year to complete, but Lexington Idol season 7 would end on a high note with four worthy contestants battling it out for the grand prize following a long hiatus due to the pandemic. In the end, it would be Mansfield's Sarah Goff who edged the competition for the title in front of a packed house at Buck's Bar & Grill.

 

Each of the four finalists had to perform a song of their choice, a hit from the year they were born, then play an original song they wrote on their own. A panel of judges, including the current Miss Ohio, along with the live audience and Facebook fans would all weigh in with a vote to decide the winner and place the other contestants in cascading order. Amber Pelfrey was the second place finisher, followed by Emily Raff in third and Macy Page took home fourth place honors. Each contestant received a cash prize with the champion earning a $1,000 payday along with other incentives.
