
Lex Downs Crawford At Eagles Nest
It’s now six straight wins for Lexington following an 0-2 start with a hard-fought 56-51 victory over Colonel Crawford at the Eagles Nest in North Robinson.
Led by Gavin Feichtner’s 11 first quarter points the Eagles would fly to an 18-12 lead but scored just six points in the second with Feichtner accounting for all of them. The Minutemen dominated the middle quarters, outscoring Crawford 32-15 to hold a 44-33 advantage heading into the final stanza.
The Eagles put up 18 points in the fourth with Jordan Fenner scoring 8 of his 15 in the frame but Lexington knocked down 10-14 free throws to seal the win.
Max Waldruff paced the Minutemen (6-2) offensive attack with 19 points, Danny Shaffer added 16 and Dylan Spears netted nine. Feichtner led all scorers with 25 Eagles (6-2) points.
