After falling behind early, Lucas clawed their way back for a 48-41 win over Ontario inside the O-Rena.

With Carleigh Pearson dropping seven of her team-best 12 points in the opening quarter, the Lady Warriors would run out to a 16-13 lead heading into the second. From that point forward, the Lady Cubs defense would dictate much of the action, holding Ontario to just 24 points the rest of the night.

​

A balanced Lucas scoring attack would propel them to a 25-24 edge by halftime, increasing their advantage to 37-32 by the fourth. Three Lady Cubs would find their way to double-figures scoring with Paige Arnold leading the way at 14 points as they outscored the Lady Warriors 11-10 in the final frame to finish off a quality road win.

Both Jessie and Shelby Grover notched 11 points for Lucas who improved to 14-2 with the victory.

Along with Pearson's dozen points, Ontario got eight from Ashten Vavra, six by Mecca Sewell and Mary Mangan added five as the Lady Warriors drop to 9-10.
