ONTARIO vs RIVER VALLEY
The Ontario Warriors did exactly what they needed to do in Week 10 — win big and keep their playoff hopes alive — taking down River Valley 44-14 in dominant fashion. The offense came out sharp, striking early and often while the defense held firm. Ontario’s ground game provided the spark, including a 98-yard touchdown run that blew the game open, followed by a balanced attack through the air to seal the deal. After winning four of their last five, Ontario capped the regular season at 6-4, finishing strong behind a talented young core that showed poise beyond its years. For a team loaded with underclassmen, the Warriors’ late surge proved they can compete with anyone — and that their future in the MOAC looks bright.

SHELBY vs MARION HARDING
The Shelby Whippets finished their regular season with authority, rolling past Marion Harding 37-6 to complete a perfect 10-0 campaign for the second straight year — a feat the program hadn’t achieved since 1968. Shelby wasted no time asserting dominance, jumping out to a 30-0 lead behind a flurry of first-half touchdowns and a defense that gave up just 69 total yards all night. The offense was as electric as ever, mixing explosive passing plays with power runs and showing off the balance that’s made them a nightmare for opponents all season. Even against one of the MOAC’s top defenses, the Whippets made it look easy. With their combination of speed, creativity, and suffocating defense, Shelby now heads into the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in Region 14 — and one of the most complete teams in the entire state.

FNP Clip: Orrville vs Triway
Triway locked up the PAC-7 Championship with a hard-fought 27-21 win over Orrville in a game that lived up to the rivalry hype at Red Rider Stadium. Triway came out firing, jumping ahead 14-0 behind a pair of highlight plays from quarterback Luke Starr, who connected on a long touchdown strike before keeping one himself for another score. But Orrville refused to go quietly, clawing back in the second half with a pair of big passing plays that cut the deficit to one score. Despite the late surge, Triway’s balanced attack and clutch defensive stops down the stretch sealed the win and a 9-1 regular-season finish. Orrville showed grit on Senior Night, battling through penalties and near-comebacks, but the PAC title ultimately belonged to the Titans — who now roll into the postseason as the No. 2 seed in Region 18, looking every bit like a contender ready for a deep run.

The Northmor Golden Knights closed their season in style on Senior Night, taking down Loudonville 41-19 at The Castle. The defense set the tone early with a pick-six on the opening drive, and the offense followed suit with a strong mix of passing and ground production. Loudonville flashed its trademark big-play ability — including two electric kickoff returns — but Northmor kept answering, building a steady lead and never letting it slip away. It was a night full of highlights and emotion, capped by a special off-field moment when head coach Nate Hall proposed to his girlfriend after the win — and she said yes. While the Golden Knights narrowly missed the postseason, they ended their year with a dominant performance, a statement victory, and a celebration the entire program will remember.

FNP Clip: Monroeville vs St. Paul
It was another instant classic in one of the area’s most storied rivalries, as Monroeville edged out St. Paul 28-27 in a thriller that went down to the final seconds. Both offenses came out swinging, trading touchdowns through a fast-paced first half that had the packed crowd at Contractor Stadium buzzing. St. Paul struck first and kept the pressure on early, but Monroeville answered every blow, including a highlight-reel touchdown that tied things up before halftime. In the fourth quarter, St. Paul regained the lead late — only for Monroeville to respond once more with a perfectly placed touchdown pass in the back of the end zone with 14 seconds left to seal it. The win secured the Eagles an unbeaten 7-0 Firelands Conference championship, while St. Paul, despite the heartbreak, still punched its ticket to the postseason for the 14th straight year. Another chapter in this rivalry — and another unforgettable finish.

FNP Clip: Hillsdale vs Norwayne
The Hillsdale Falcons came up just short of a perfect regular season, falling 24-17 to Norwayne in a hard-fought Week 10 battle. The Falcons struck first with an early field goal, but Norwayne’s explosive offense answered quickly and built a 21-9 halftime lead. Hillsdale clawed their way back in the second half, pulling within one score thanks to some fourth-quarter trickery and a well-executed passing touchdown, but a late interception sealed their fate. Despite the loss, Hillsdale still locked up the No. 1 seed in Region 27, closing the year at 9-1 and proving they belong among the elite. Norwayne, meanwhile, clinched its second straight Wayne County Athletic League title, continuing its dominance in one of the toughest small-school leagues in Ohio. Both teams now shift their focus to the postseason — where a rematch isn’t out of the question.

FNP Clip: Galion vs Clear Fork
The Galion Tigers closed out their regular season on a high note, taking down Clear Fork 27-7 in a statement win at Unckrich Stadium. Galion’s passing attack was dialed in from the start, connecting on a pair of deep strikes in the first half to build a quick lead and never looking back. Clear Fork tried to claw their way back with a touchdown late in the half, but the Tigers’ defense clamped down from there, holding the Colts scoreless the rest of the way. With the victory, Galion extended their win streak to six straight and capped an impressive regular season where they proved they belong among the region’s elite. They’ve shown they can hang with — and nearly beat — anyone, including Shelby, and now have their eyes set on a potential rematch deep in the postseason.

FNP Clip: Fredericktown vs Centerburg (Freddie-Burg)
The Freddie-Burg Trophy stayed in Centerburg this year as the Trojans dominated Fredericktown 34-0 to claim the outright KMAC Championship. It was all Centerburg from the start — a first-quarter touchdown through the air set the tone, followed by a pair of tough rushing scores to make it 20-0 at halftime. The Trojans’ balanced attack and relentless defense had the Freddies on their heels all night, controlling the game in every phase. By the fourth quarter, Centerburg’s ground game had completely taken over, piling on two more touchdowns and triggering a running clock. The shutout capped a near-perfect regular season where Centerburg’s defense gave up just 26 points across the last several weeks, and their offense looked postseason-ready. FNP: East Knox vs Danville (Devil-Dog Game)
The Devil Dog rivalry turned into a one-sided celebration for Danville, who powered past East Knox 52-12 in their 65th meeting. The Blue Devils came out swinging, storming to a 24-0 halftime lead and never letting up. Their ground game was unstoppable, piling up big runs and touchdowns in bunches, while the defense kept East Knox bottled up for most of the night. Even as East Knox battled back for a couple of third-quarter scores, Danville’s offense had all the answers, capping the night with a deep strike to close out the rout. The win marked Danville’s 45th victory in the historic rivalry and solidified their playoff standing — a strong reminder that even after losing key pieces from last year’s Final Four squad, the Blue Devils still know how to flip the switch when November football rolls around.

The Cubs set the tone early, marching down the field for a quick touchdown and never letting up, piling on multiple scores in the first half and taking a commanding 32-0 lead into the break. The defense was lights-out from start to finish, forcing turnovers and completely shutting down Crestline’s offense. Even late in the game, Lucas kept the energy high, featuring different players on a final scoring drive to seal the win. It was a complete team effort that showcased their toughness, balance, and playoff pedigree — a perfect way to secure another postseason berth in Region 27.

The defense matched the offense’s energy, pitching a shutout and marking the seventh time in nine weeks that Big Walnut has allowed seven points or fewer.
