Comeback Victory Gives Freddies Sectional Title Over Madison Plains

FREDERICKTOWN - - An early deficit for Fredericktown would be overcome by a strong defensive performance over the final three quarters, taking out Madison Plains 52-44 for a Division III Sectional title.

The Golden Eagles scored the first six points, running out to a 16-10 lead by the end of the first before their advantage closed to 26-24 by the end of the first half. The Freddies began to dictate the action in the third, taking a six point edge into the fourth which extended to double-figures in the fourth.

Ty Hatfied carried the load offensively for the Freddies (21-2), notching 17 points to earn Alumni Roofing Player of the Game honors. #6 Fredericktown marches on to face #2 Harvest Prep at the Division III Districts on the road.
