Behind Caleb Gallwitz's incredible performance, East Knox rallies back from a 14-point second half deficit to end Carey's surprising run with a 32-21 victory for the Division 6 Region 22 Championship.

The unbeaten Bulldogs (13-0) led early on a 1-yard Gallwitz TD run,  but the Blue Devils scored twice in the last two minutes of the opening half with Connor Williams and Reece Billock both finding the end zone on 2-yard runs for a 14-7 edge at the break.

Carey (7-5) then made it 21-unanswered points on Ethan Beringer's 5-yard scamper to paydirt that put them ahead 21-7 with 7:19 left in the third quarter. East Knox would take over the contest from this point forward, though, ripping off 25 consecutive points on four touchdowns.

 

Weston Melick hauled in a 22 yard TD grab to make it a 1-score game before Gallwitz trimmed the deficit to 21-20 late in the third on a 9-yard scoring run, set up by his own punt return. The Bulldogs then seized the lead at 26-21 on the final play of the third when Gallwitz shook loose for a 61 yard TD reception and he iced the victory with his fourth score of the evening, ripping off a 75 yard run to end the Devils season.

 

The Bulldogs now advance to Division 6 Final Four.
