Comeback To Beat Tigers 21-20

The East Knox Bulldogs will play for the Division 6 Region 22 championship after coming back from a

20-0 second-half deficit to defeat Seneca East 21-20 at Marion Harding High School.

The second-seeded Tigers (10-2) got their first score with 1:14 left in the opening quarter when Skyler Walker ran in from 2-yards away making it 6-0 after one. Walker later extended the lead with time winding down in the first half on his second 1-yard score to give Seneca East a 12-0 advantage at the break.

The Tigers then scored their final touchdown midway through the third on a Kane Lynch 4-yard scamper
and made good on the 2-point conversion for a 20-0 edge, but East Knox would respond just under two minutes later as Caleb Gallwitz went in from 5-yards away cutting the lead to 20-7.

The third-seeded Bulldogs then forced a Tigers turnover and cashed it in a minute and a half later as
Kadden Lester found Braden Kannady for an 11-yard reception into paydirt making it 20-14 after three.
Gallwitz then completed the comeback in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter with a 2-yard run to put East Knox in front 21-20 with a successful PAT.

The Bulldogs would hold on for the win to stay undefeated at 12-0, advancing to the Regional Final on Friday where they will face eighth-seeded Carey (7-5) who outlasted #5 Hillsdale 7-0 in their semifinal contest. The winner earns a spot in the Division 6 State Final Four.
