Division IV Football

Area All-Ohio Selections

The Division IV football All-Ohio teams were announced by a statewide media panel with teams being selected by members of the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association. Several local athletes made this years list for their accomplishments on the field.

1st Team

Brennan South, Clear Fork Sr. QB/DB: Threw for 2,335 yards and 27 TD's with 5 Int's, rushing for 431 yds and 11 touchdowns. South also had 37 tackles and 4 Int's as a defender for the 7-3 Colts.

Marek Albert, Shelby Jr. DE: Set a new school record for sacks in a season with 15 while making 56 tackles for the 8-4 Whippets with 22 of those going for losses.

2nd Team

Ashton Lyon, Clear Fork Sr. WR/DB: Led the Colts receiving attack with 38 rec for 683 yds and 5 scores while making 79 tackles on defense with 4 Int's.

Isaiah Alsip, Galion Sr. WR/DB: Led the 8-3 Tigers to the postseason with 82 catches for 1,128 yds and 12 TD's, also rushing for 4 TD's. Alsip finished as Galion's all-time leader in receiving yards and catches.

John Abouhassan, Galion Sr. OL/DL: Named District Lineman of the Year for his play in the trenches.

3rd Team

Owen Fisher, Shelby Jr. RB/DB: Rushed for 1,586 yards and 16 TD's, adding 25 rec for 478 yds and 4 TD's for a Whippets squad that won a playoff game.

Special Mention

Zack Hartz, Shelby Sr. C: Anchor for the Whippets offensive line making all interior play calls for the outright MOAC champs.

Austin Gray, Shelby Sr. LB: Made an impressive 96 defensive tackles with 11 TFL's.

Wilson Frankhouse, Galion Jr. QB: Went 179-251 through the air with 2,464 yds, 27 TD's & 5 Int's, rushing for 659 yards and 7 scores.

Dominic Pittman, Galion Jr. K: Made good on an amazing 50-51 PAT's.
