"Dawg Days of Summer" Begins August 1st

2017 was a season for the ages for the Shelby football program. In their storied 124 year history, no team had ever accomplished what the Whippets were able to achieve last year.

Shelby started the season 13-0 with 12 running clocks by halftime, falling to eventual Division IV state champion Steubenville in the Final Four. Nineteen members of the Whippets regional championship squad were lost to graduation, however, most of which hold numerous program records.

As Shelby looks to retool for the upcoming season, the OH Report will be on hand every step of the way. Beginning August 1st, the 4-part series “Dawg Days of Summer” will follow the Whippets through training camp right up to their Week 1 home opener against county rival Madison.

Watch to see how head coach Erik Will and his staff mold their unproven roster for the 2018 season as position battles are won, new leaders emerge and the team comes together with expectations of making the postseason for a third consecutive year.
