 Lucas  vs  Crestline

Mid-Buckeye Conference Boys Basketball

Cubs Best Bulldogs 51-36

The state-ranked Lucas Cubs remained undefeated at 11-0 with a 51-36 victory at Crestline to complete a regular season sweep of their Mid-Buckeye Conference foes.

Lucas opened the game on a hot streak, building a 9-0 advantage in less than two minutes. Without the services of leading scorer Kaden Ronk, the Bulldogs were still able to battle back to within 17-13 by the end of the first quarter, but fell into a 27-17 hold by the break.

Riley Gossom would drop eight of his game-high 21 points in the third to help Lucas outscore the Dogs 13-6 in the frame before Crestline rallied late in the fourth with the game already out of reach.

Joining Gossom in double-figures was Logan Niswander with 11 and Ethan Wallace scoring 10. Spencer Harley was the high point-man for the Bulldogs with 15 while Trevor Phillips added seven and Connor Lusk put in six.

The Cubs will next put their unblemished mark on the line when they travel to face Ontario (9-3).

Crestline dips to 6-6 with their second-straight loss, both to Lucas, and will look to bounce back vs Marion Elgin (9-5) on their home floor.
