Crestline Smothers Flames 50-30
Crestline scored an impressive road win at "The Furnace" by defeating Mansfield Christian 50-30 in Mid-Buckeye Conference play.
The Lady Bulldogs took control of the contest from the opening tip, building an 18-11 first quarter cushion with Ivy Stewart scoring six of her 12 points in the frame. Both teams then struggled offensively in the second, as Crestline narrowly edged the Lady Flames 5-4 in the stanza to hold a 23-15 halftime lead.
With a balanced scoring attack that saw three players put up a dozen or more points, the Lady Bulldogs extended their advantage to 34-22 heading into the fourth quarter where they put the game out of reach. Lauryn Tadda poured in seven of her 12 points in the final stanza, going 5-6 from the free throw line to help Crestline secure a dominating 20-point victory.
Joining Tadda and Stewart in double-figures was Hannah Delong who scored a game-high 13 points for the Lady Bulldogs. Aubrynn Maiyer was the top offensive performer for MC with 10 pts, while Elle Schmitz added seven and Alexis Ripple put up five.
