Madison Takes Care Of Lucas 10-0

MADISON TOWNSHIP --- The Madison Rams took care of business knocking off Lucas 10-0 in five innings in a tournament tune-up thanks to a perfect day at the plate by Paige Eldridge.


Eldridge led off the bottom of the first with an infield single and scored the games' first run on an Olivia Schulz RBI single. She then helped the Lady Rams (10-12) add on with an RBI triple in the third then later scored on an Emily Nolan RBI ground out making it 3-0.


One inning later, Eldridge was at it again with runners on second and third and two out when she sent a 2RBI single up the middle to make it 5-0.


Madison then finished things off in the bottom of the fifth with an RBI double by Hope Barrett and 2RBI hits by Reagan Hayes and Eldridge for the 10-0 run-rule win.


Lucas (6-12) only recorded two hits in the game as Madison pitcher Bailey Lyons recorded 14 consecutive outs at one point while striking out two for the win.


Eldridge finished going 4-for-4 with three singles, a triple, a stolen base, two runs scored and five RBI.
