Comets Crash Lucas 61-56

LUCAS --  A hot first half shooting performance by Kylie Nussbaum carried Kidron Central Christian to a 61-56 victory over Lucas at the Cub Cave.

Nussbaum, who earned Player of the Game honors, dropped 18 of her team-best 22 points in the opening half to propel the Comets to a 35-26 lead. Cubs sophomore Shelby Grover would lead all scorers with 23 points, and helped keep Lucas within striking distance heading into the closing minutes but Central Christian did just enough to hang on for a victory.
