It was a beautiful day for some softball and that is what Clear Fork fans got with a 13-3 win over Tiffin Columbian in 5 innings for the Sectional crown.

It would immediately be a hot start for the Colts scoring on a passed ball in the bottom of the second inning and from then on Columbian would never stop the bleeding. Clear Fork went on to add 4 more runs that inning and would add five more in the very next frame. The Tornadoes would get on the board in the third as well, posting 1 run to bring the score to 10-1.

The Colts would add another run in the fourth, however, putting Columbian in danger of being run-ruled in the top of the 5th. The Tornadoes didn’t go belly up, though, adding 2 more runs in the scoring column in the top of the frame but Clear Fork continued its reign of offensive terror with a 2 RBI double in the bottom of the 5th to put Columbian away 13-3.

Courtny Palmer had one heck of a game at the dish with 2 hits in 3 at-bats and 3 RBIs. That was just one drop of water in the ocean of Clear Fork's terrific day in the batter's box. The totaled14 hits on the night with almost everyone who stepped up to the plate securing at least one hit. Pitcher Ashtlynn Roberts also left her mark all over this game with 7 strikeouts and only let up 2 hits.
