A game that lasted nearly six hours because of a lengthy weather delay would finish with Ashland still looking for their first win of the season. Tiffin Columbian beat the Arrows 31-7 at Community Stadium, finishing the contest at 12:38 a.m.
The Tornados didn't take long to get on the board, as Nick Jackson ripped off a 58 yard TD run on the second play of the game. The Arrows countered with a scoring drive of their own, capped off by a 24-yard strike from Mitch Heilman to Jayden Jones.
Columbian put together back to back second-quarter TD drives to build a 21-7 advantage, then came the lightning strikes and heavy rain through the area. Both teams waited for roughly three hours before getting called back to action, ending the first half without additional points.
A late third-quarter TD followed by a field goal in the closing minutes would cement a lopsided road victory for the Tornados, who remain unbeaten through three weeks of the season.
