Edison Knocks Off Crawford 6-5

Colonel Crawford was up against the Edison Chargers for a spot in the Regional Semifinal, the Chargers would win a close one 6-5 through 8 innings.

Both offenses did their thing in this one as the Eagles started things off with Nolen Mckibben getting an RBI single, Carson Feichtner would add an RBI single as well. Cade Hamilton would steal home which would result in an obstruction call making it 3-0 after 3 in favor of Colonel Crawford.

Edison would battle back as they would take the lead, getting runs in the 4th ,5th and 6th to take the advantage over the Eagles. All runs came from RBI singles.

Blake Simon for the Edison Chargers the freshman did his job today. Went 3-4 at the plate, scored 4 times and pitched 5 innings allowing 7 hits and 4 runs.

Cyler Hoepf had an RBI single in the bottom of the 6th to tie things up at 4. The Chargers would get two runs in the top of the 8th inning from Thomas Simon and Clint Finnen. Simon would have an RBI single and Finnen scored via a Crawford throwing error.

The next half inning the Eagles Cade Hamilton would get an RBI walk but Crawford ran out of gas and would fall to the Chargers 6-5 through 8 innings.
