The Northern 10 title went to the Lady Red from Bucyrus today as they dismantled the Upper Sandusky Rams 16-5. It was a cold rainy Thursday for softball but that wouldn't stop either of these teams from chasing the conference crown. For Bucyrus it just seemed to be their night as they jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning and pretty much from there never looked back. Both offense and defense were red hot for the Lady Red and they pretty much never took their foot off the gas. Upper Sandusky however would never go belly up and give it their all until the final out was made in the bottom of the 7th. They tried to narrow the gap putting up runs in the 5th inning and 7th inning but it would be too little too late. Bucyrus went on a tear scoring 11 runs in the first 5 innings of play and that would be enough for them to be able to cruise to the conference crow 16-5. However both these teams know that the postseason is right around the corner and there's still a lot of softball to be played.
