ELIDA --- The Columbus Grove Lady Dawgs stifled #6 Buckeye Central's offense in the second half to knock off the Buckettes 47-38 in a Division 4 Regional Semifinal.

The #6 Buckettes built an 8 point halftime lead thanks to a 55% shooting performance from beyond the arc while holding Columbus Grove under 20 points in the first 16 minutes.

​

The roles reversed in the second half, however, as the Lady Dawgs were the ones playing stellar defense while hitting shots in key situations shooting 47% in the second half while holding Buckeye Central to only 3 points in the third and 12 in the final 16 minutes.

 

Columbus grove will face conference rival Crestview in the Regional Championship on Saturday night as they were led by Erin Downing's game high 18 points while Kenzie King also hit double figures with 15 points and 10-of-10 from the free throw in the second half.

 

The Buckettes were led by Claudia Pifher's 15 points while Taylor Ratliff followed with 9 points.
