Ben Vore Named Div II District 9

Player of the Year

High school baseball coaches throughout Northwest Ohio have selected Lexington senior Ben Vore as the District 9 Player of the Year for Division II.

The University of Cincinnati commit has been phenomenal on the diamond during his final prep season, leading the Minutemen to an OCC title where he was selected conference player of the year and a sectional championship.

Vore has been a monster from the dish with a gaudy .461 batting average, leading a veteran Lexington squad with 35 hits, 27 RBI and 26 runs. He has been equally as dominant from the mound with a perfect 6-0 record, boasting a miniature 1.02 ERA with 55 strikeouts to just 17 walks in 34 ⅓ innings of action.

The #5 Minutemen (16-6) will look to ride Vore to the Tiffin District Final when they battle top-seeded Van Wert in the semifinals at the Paradiso Athletic Fields.
