Cade Hamilton - Colonel Crawford

The Colonel Crawford baseball team had arguably as much hype as any small-school program in the state of Ohio heading into this season with everybody back from a Regional qualifier and a Hall-of-Fame coach in Dan Gorbett.

While players remain optimistic about a frenzied high school season beginning in a couple of weeks, prospects like Eagles junior Cade Hamilton will likely miss out on an opportunity to impress scouts as Crawford sought back to back District titles.

Hamilton, who also competes for Ohio Elite, caught the eye of college scouts by batting .385 with 25 hits, leading the county in runs as a sophomore with 27 in 2019. He joined Brian Skowronski for a conversation about the recruiting process with competition on a hiatus, how he's continued to work on his game, expectations for Crawford and more.

Check back with the OH.Report over the next several weeks as we follow Cade's experience as a collegiate prospect during quarantine and the process of staying engaged while improving his athleticism and skill-set.
