Bryant Leads Ashland To 2-0 Win At Lex

MANSFIELD -- Following a slow start to the season, the Ashland baseball squad is starting to get hot by collecting their third straight victory in a 2-0 shutout over OCC rival Lexington.

The Arrows completed a sweep of the Minutemen behind a dominating pitching performance from Luke Bryant who tossed six scoreless innings. The Ashland hurler also added an RBI in the third inning when he forced a walk with the bases juiced right after Chase Hunt gave the Arrows a 1-0 edge on an RBI fielder's choice.

Over the weekend Ashland will step out of league play for contests with Loudonville and Galion while the Minutemen will compete in a tri-match at Clyde with Clear Fork.
