NCOFCA All-Star Football Game 2019

The 2019 NCOFCA All-Star Classic took place under the Friday night lights in Lexington where local senior athletes from around our area got one last opportunity to showcase their skills on the high school gridiron.

The South would score first on a 46-yard halfback pass from Kasson Knrownapple of East Knox to Lucas’ Jeb Grover for a 6-0 advantage. A 59 yard scoring pass from Clear Fork’s Jared Schaefer to his high school teammate Caden Flynn later made it 12-0 before Ontario’s Noah Creed rumbled into the end zone on a 25-yard interception return for a 19-0 edge.

Grover added his second score on a 7-yard run that gave the South a 26-0 lead which they carried into the half. Following a Harley Robinson-Koge (Bucyrus) TD snag early in the third quarter that put the North on the scoreboard, Schaefer again hooked up with Flynn, who was named Outstanding Offensive Back, for a 42-yard score and a commanding 32-7 lead.

The North trimmed their deficit down to 32-20 late in the third on TD’s by Blake Sparks (Wynford) and Trevon Raymore (Norwalk), but Schaefer threw his third TD to Krownapple to make it 39-20 early in the fourth to earn Jared Offensive MVP honors.

Seneca East’s Blaine Swartzmiller and Raymore each found paydirt in the final quarter, as did Krownapple for the third time on a 54-yard scamper to put the score at 46-32. South LB Brice Swindall then iced the game with an interception at the goal line to secure the victory by that final score.
