#1 Madison Scores 2 Late Goals To Draw At #3 Granville

GRANVILLE -- A showdown between undefeated state-ranked powers saw #1 Madison overcome a 2-0 deficit with a pair of second half goals to draw #3 Granville 2-2.

The Lady Aces (8-0-1) took a 1-0 advantage with Karah Van Horn sending a nutmeg shot between Phyllis Stanfield's legs into the left corner of the net with 19:12 remaining in the first half. Granville's lead doubled to 2-0 at the 16:51 mark in the second half on a perfectly struck shot by Kylee Lescas, but the Lady Rams would answer immediately.

Just seven seconds after the restart, freshman Nevaeh Lewis got loose into the Aces defense and smashed a shot into the top-left corner of the net to pull Madison (8-0-1) back to a 2-1 deficit. Taylor Huff then came through with the equalizer at the 8:13 mark to help keep the Lady Rams unblemished record in tact.
